Welcome to band at Arapahoe High School!!!

 

It is such an exciting time for the entire music department here at Arapahoe and I am glad that you are a part of it. I am a graduate of Arapahoe High School and was a member of virtually every large ensemble, including the marching band, during my four years. I am so excited to have the opportunity to teach here! I am very familiar with how this program has been run in the past and I will do my best to continue running it 

following the very high expectations that the Arapahoe community has become accustomed to.

 

At Arapahoe we have two concert bands, two orchestras, one jazz band, and marching/pep band. In order to be in marching band or jazz band, students are expected to participate in one of the two concert bands. The marching band will participate in various field show competitions throughout the fall, as well as at home football games. Also, the marching band will march in the Western Welcome Week parade in August and the Parade of Lights at the beginning of December.

As a member of the Arapahoe High School Instrumental Music and Color Guard program, you are part of an organization with a long tradition of excellence. It is my sincere wish that your time spent with us will be some of the most rewarding times of your life.

 

Please take time to read the handbook under the documents tab. This handbook has been provided for both students and parents so they may better understand our policies and procedures. It is my philosophy that maintaining high standards in the areas of attitude, discipline, effort, preparation, and daily rehearsal skills are the main ingredients to success.
